The book thief by Markus Zusak - Book review

Written in first person, narrated by a third party. Only that it's not a human. It's the death itself recounting the days in the lives of those who struggled, endured, perished,  survived WW II under Hitler regime in Germany; taking us through hell and also the little pieces of heaven in the form of love and friendship. Also, the joy of football and stealing books and apples. Such a devastating yet equally empowering book.
